Smack dab in the middle of the month of February is the opportunity for us to reflect on Saint Valentine's Day.  Enjolying Valentine's Day is a must, but Love should surround us each and every day of our lives.  What's the big deal with having a particular day to make sure we let those dearest to us know how much we love them.  Each day is absolutely filled with opportunities for us to share the Love of God with those around us.  Surely we would start with those who are closest to us.  This is not merely our words or an annual gift, but an all day everyday lifestyle.

The chapter of Love, I Corinthians 13 is Paul's words of assuring us what love is suppose to be.  Verse 6 says, "Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth."  Do we really believe that we could possibly tell someone we love them one day a year and make them believe it?  Surely we understand that love is a process, which is ongoing.  The truth is that our lives should be filled with both righeousness and love.

God loves us with a perect love.  We should strive each and every day to live a life that nourishes what is right and brings happiness into our lives.  One of the greatest of all fulfilling ways to promote happiness is to love.  We can love life itself through sharing God's love with others.  Love is truth.  For me, St. Francis caught the essence of truth when he said, "Love is not love until you give it away."
